About Amy E Fraser
Amy E. Fraser is a Fine Artist, Photographer and Baker. She creates in her home studio nestled in a beautiful wildflower meadow, surrounded by enchanting wildlife, deep in a magical fairy tale forest. When Amy is not drawing, painting or sculpting she can be found wandering the forest, photographing nature, tending to her garden or practicing the fascinating craft of Sourdough baking.
Amy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and a Masters of Arts and Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College. Fraser has exhibited her work throughout the United States and has pieces in the archives of The National Museum of Women In The Arts and The Smithsonian, Archives of American Art, both in Washington, D.C. Fraser's paintings, illustrations, Exalted Beauty Medallions and bread artistry have been featured in numerous publications and can be found in collections worldwide. She has been creating and selling art professionally since 1991.
Amy lives in Plainfield, New Hampshire with her husband, son, two cats, two rabbits and an abundance of adorable wildlife friends.
Fraser is inspired by the natural beauty of her land in Plainfield, NH. A work of art in itself, Fraser's own wildflower meadow unveils a universe of meaning to her in each blossom. There is something very human about the countenance of a wildflower, she says. They convey the infinite power and strength of beauty while also alluding to life's inevitable fragility. Her paintings and sculpted medallions glow from within and express her passion for flowers, nature and life through vibrant color and a deliciously rich and tactile surface.
