Description
Here is a look at the one side of center pole bean trellis in the Kitchen Garden in Late July. This batch of pole beans was planted later in the season in hopes of staggering the harvest times but as luck would have it all the beans, both pole and bush decided to overflow all at once. Some days it does get overwhelming, but there is absolutely no comparison between freshly picked produce to store bought fresh or frozen. Every time you wonder why you are getting dirty and working so hard, a light summer meal of freshly picked food reminds you that was why it is worth it. Plus Bunny Adoration, who doesn’t live for that? In this view is this center pole bean trellis, a exploding row of arugula, Lilliput Zinnias, two stages of basil, and parsley with a view of the California Zinnias in the background.
The Victory Garden collection is presented as a photo diary of Amy E. Fraser’s vegetable gardening journey during the 2020 pandemic. All works in collaboration with Mother Nature, combining Art, Agriculture, Landscaping and Adventure!
