Artist's Description

The Animal series celebrates the spiritual and emotional bond between these beautiful, powerful and dignified beings creating a dialogue, where woman and animal intuitively read, reflect and respond to one another as friends and equals. It is evocative of moments captured from fairy tales, where it is commonplace to find woman communicating with nature. These paintings hint at magic and other worlds, without providing too much information, in an attempt to keep the images timeless. Here, the connection between woman and nature is a positive, perhaps superior aspect of humanity, where compassion and respect for all life is held in the highest regard.

Acrylic Paint on Masonite. Hand painted by Amy E. Fraser (2004). Featuring a unique painting process developed by the artist, involving layers upon layers of transparent acrylic glazes. All images copyright Amy E. Fraser. All rights reserved.
