Non-Objective art is non-representational art that is considered to be its own style and one of the many subcategories of Abstract Art. Non-objective art is a general term that defines abstract art forms that lack adherence to identifiable, quantifiable, and observable characteristics of the living world. Non-Objective Abstract paintings tend to be geometric and without purposeful representation of recognizable objects such as flowers, animals, people or other subjects found in the natural world. The intention of the work is not meant to depict anything specific, instead it relies on shape, line and form with no particular subject as the focus. Non-Objective Abstract paintings frequently include geometric shapes in flat planes to create clean and straightforward compositions. A simplicity in perspective is also a common characteristic in this genre because the work is free from vanishing points or other traditional techniques used to create the impression of realism. Many consider Non-Objective Art as a Pure Art because it is not grounded in visual perceptions, but exclusively in the artists imagination. The subject is exactly as you see it, color, shape, brushstrokes and form. The thoughts and emotions experienced during the viewing of Non-Objective Art is as unique and individual as the viewer.
