The Stag, known as the king of the forest, the woodland prince, and lord of the woods is a benevolent spirit. The regal Buck is a powerful animal with a sensitive heart that embodies fertility, gentleness and wisdom, independence and creativity. The Stag is also a symbol of regeneration and renewal. Deer have played significant roles in the mythology of various world cultures as objects of worship, legend and myth, the incarnation of deities, the focus of heroic quests and deeds, or as magical disguise and enchantments for princesses and princes in many folk and fairy tales. Deer also symbolize a connection to the supernatural, the Otherworld, magic or the fairy realm as messenger or familiar. Amy E. Fraser is a Fine Artist, Photographer and Baker. She creates in her home studio nestled in a beautiful wildflower meadow, surrounded by enchanting wildlife, deep in a magical fairy tale forest. When Amy is not drawing, painting or sculpting she can be found wandering the forest, photographing nature, tending to her garden or practicing the fascinating craft of Sourdough baking. Amy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and a Masters of Arts and Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College.
