Description
As Gardeners we are constantly on the lookout for plant disease and pests and sometimes it can get pretty confusing. I had one of these moments when the Butterstick Zucchini leaves started exhibiting a unique leaf pattern unlike some of their pure green siblings in the other Driveway Garden Pots. Much to my relief and the blessing of the magical internet I discovered that what I had was a perfectly normal variegated squash leaf. Some squash plants have leaves with white areas. These white areas are usually at the junction of leaf vines, tending toward a silvery coloration primarily along the vein. So after a sigh of relief I was able to enjoy the beauty of this natural mosaic there after… However I did remain on patrol for Powdery Mildew from that point forward.
