The White Dove by Amy E. Fraser. This is an expressive dove portrait in shades of peach, black and white with bold purple eyes complimented with a salmon pink textural background.
Throughout history the white dove has long been considered a bird of peace. It is depicted as a monument in more than 30 cities around the world. Doves are resourceful birds and live in almost every environment in the world. They often live in wooded areas, but they can also live in man-made structures like buildings in cities. Pure white doves are rarely seen in nature, and could actually be white pigeons instead. Whether a common ground dove or an exotic Inca, all doves have relatively small heads in comparison to their bodies and small, narrow bills. They have short legs and walk as if their feet are tender which causes their heads to bob back and forth. She creates in her home studio nestled in a beautiful wildflower meadow, surrounded by enchanting wildlife, deep in a magical fairy tale forest. When Amy is not drawing, painting or sculpting she can be found wandering the forest, photographing nature, tending to her garden or practicing the fascinating craft of Sourdough baking. Amy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and a Masters of Arts and Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College.
