Description
Answer the phone. Hello? Is someone breathing? Hello. No one answers back. You want to hang up, but now you are too afraid. Alone in the silent moon glow, chills sparkle across flesh, hair zips with electricity. Hello? Hello? Is… is someone there? Heart races. It feels like they are right there with you… but the warm cat on your lap stretches and sighs heavily with tuna scented irritation. Must have been dreaming... just another Late Night Caller.
Late Night Caller was a homework assignment Sophomore year for an illustration concepts class at Parsons School of Design (1993). Drew Barrymore was asked to recreate this iconic moment years later in the movie Scream. Wes Craven was so taken by this painting he developed an entire movie franchise based on it (not really).
